CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 17-year-old male has died following a shooting incident in Corpus Christi, according to police.

Officers from the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to the area of Weber Road and Tripoli Drive on April 15, 2026, at 7:52 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the teenager with a single gunshot wound and provided first aid until medics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were dispatched to the scene due to the severity of the injuries. It was determined that a disturbance had occurred, leading to the production of a weapon. Multiple witnesses have been taken to the Main Station for interviews by CID, according to the department.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The incident is considered isolated.
