ABILENE, Texas (KCBD) – Very few things went right for the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates as they fell to Abilene Cooper 66-16.
LCP gained the first score of the night from a field goal, which was made possible with a Ryan Rodriguez-Noah Clark first down.
The Cougars soon took control with RB Peyton Ewing and WR Zaylon Johnson. After those two exchanged scores, the Pirates were already facing a 14-3 deficit.
The Pirates will try to avoid a 4-4 record next week as they welcome a red hot Palo Duro team that is currently riding a five-game win streak.
