Lumis, a cocktail lounge, is expected to open in Dallas Design District development The Seam in fall 2026.
The project comes from the team of Texas restaurateurs who operate De Fortune, a moody lounge that opened in spring 2025 in Houston.
At the Dallas cocktail bar, vibes are everything: A news release describes a “lush soundtrack blending contemporary pop, dance, and Afro-house, and a menu of elevated light bites.”
It joins a fast-growing Dallas Design District neighborhood populated in part by restaurants and bars from outside Dallas, like Delilah (Los Angeles), Carbone (New York), Culinary Dropout (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and La Lupita (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico).
The Seam is a repurposed 1970s development that’s now under construction. When finished, it will have about 50 storefronts that are a mix of design showrooms, galleries, restaurants and wellness companies.
Lumis’ founders will work with Unfiltered Hospitality as cocktail consultants. The Miami-based company has worked with the Limelight Hotel in Aspen, the Ritz-Carlton in Miami and Le Coucou, the 1-star Michelin restaurant called one of New York’s best restaurants to “see and be seen.”
Lumis will be at 1444 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas. Expected opening date is fall 2026.
