A city just outside Fort Worth has snagged a new Costco Business Center and major gas station — a move public officials are hailing as a huge victory.
The bulk-buying retailer Costco Wholesale Corp. (Nasdaq: COST) will build a new Costco Business Center and fuel center at 4909 NE Loop 820 in Haltom City, the city announced April 15. The location is about a mile away from a new H Mart-anchored retail center with more than 40 tenants.
Costco Business Centers feature items catered for businesses, such as professional-grade kitchenware and industrial supplies, though the locations are open to all Costco members and offer groceries and other similar items as well. More than 70% of the items offered in a Costco Business Center are different from a typical Costco warehouse, according to the company’s website.
The new location plans to open in early 2027 and create more than 100 jobs with salaries of $32 an hour, according to the city.
