This is the second year of the Texas-based awards, with just one North Texas restaurant receiving the prestigious star last year.

HOUSTON — The second annual selection of the Michelin Guide Texas edition is being announced Tuesday night, and you can watch it live on WFAA+.

Michelin Guide’s Texas edition launched last year, judging restaurants in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio.

There were three North Texas restaurants recognized by the Michelin Guide last year, and several others recommended:

Tatsu Dallas: The omakase sushi restaurant led by chef Tatsuya Sekiguchi in the Continental Gin building in Deep Ellum was the only Dallas restaurant to receive a prestigious Michelin star.Cattleack, Gemma, Lucia, Nonna, Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen, and Má»™t Hai Ba in Dallas, as well as Goldee’s in Fort Worth, were recognized with Bib Gourmand awards. Julian Shaffer of Rye in Dallas was recognized with the exceptional cocktails award.

With Tatsu Dallas being the only local restaurant to receive a star last year, they could keep the star, lose it, or receive an additional star.
