EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The city of El Paso is gearing up for a celebration as Fort Bliss joins forces with community partners to roll out an eight-day tribute to America’s 250th birthday.

Kicking off on Saturday, June 27, the festivities launch with “Pop Goes the Fort” at Biggs Park, where country star Chris Young will headline an opening night packed with music, energy, and plenty of red, white, and blue spirit. From there, the celebration stretches across the city with a full week of events designed to bring neighbors, families, and visitors together.

Organizers say the goal is simple, “Celebrate not just the nation’s history, but the unique culture and community that make El Paso shine.”

The grand finale lands in downtown at San Jacinto Plaza on July 4. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the plaza will transform into a celebration hub, featuring a headlining performance by the Randy Rogers Band and a dazzling light projection show set to close out the night in style.
