Pine Bluff, Ark. (KATV) — Law enforcement agencies in Fort Worth, Texas, in coordination with the Pine Bluff Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and United States Marshals have arrested a man connected to the fatal shooting of Jimmy Epperson Jr., of Pine Bluff.
The fatal shooting occurred September 23, 2025, near 7th Avenue and Missouri Street.

Thomaz Johnson was taken in by officers, as well as Vanjarius Powell, who was wanted in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County on separate felony warrants.
Both individuals will remain in Fort Worth as they wait for extradition to Arkansas, according to Deltaplex News.
Johnson will be held in Jefferson County where he will face one count of Capital Murder. Powell will be booked on the outstanding felony warrants, following extradition.
