The Texas governor’s office is threatening to pull millions in public safety funding from the City of Dallas over its immigration policies, according to a letter sent to Mayor Eric Johnson. The governor cites a policy he says allows Dallas police to decline cooperation with federal immigration authorities and warns the city could be required to repay $32 million if the department does not change course.
