Miracle League of Frisco is slated to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new field and inclusive playground April 18.

The Frisco Miracle League Mike Simpson Field, located at Harold Bacchus Community Park, received $1.4 million in improvements, including a new cushioned field surface that is wheelchair friendly.

“Our field was showing its age from baking in the Texas sun for 20 years,” MLF President Jeremy Silvas said in previous Community Impact reporting. “The city owns this field. We pleaded our case to City Council. I give the city all the credit in the world. They’ve been great to us. They paid for this field and the new special needs playground. It’s all brand new.”

The details

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will be held at 10:30 a.m., coincides with MLF’s 20th baseball season.
