Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences has officially announced its 2026 to 2027 Broadway series, featuring a lineup of well-known productions making their way to the South Plains.

A Season Of Premieres

This season stands out for one major reason. All four shows are Lubbock premieres, giving local audiences the chance to see these productions live in their own city for the first time.

Here is what is coming to the stage:

Waitress (Nov. 20 to 22, 2026)

The hit musical based on the beloved film brings a mix of humor and heart. Featuring music by Sara Bareilles, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a small-town waitress with big dreams and a talent for baking. It has become a fan favorite thanks to its relatable story and memorable songs.

A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical (Dec. 18 to 20, 2026)

Fans of Neil Diamond will recognize many of the songs in this production. The musical follows the life and career of the legendary performer and includes hits like “Sweet Caroline” and “Cracklin’ Rosie.”

The Bodyguard (Jan. 29 to 31, 2027)

Based on the popular film starring Whitney Houston, this production blends romance, suspense, and powerful vocals. Audiences can expect well-known songs along with a dramatic stage adaptation.

Kinky Boots (May 7 to 9, 2027)

This Tony Award-winning musical features music by Cyndi Lauper and tells an uplifting story about acceptance and identity. Known for its high-energy performances and bold style, it closes out the season on a strong note.
