TGIF!
Welcome to the Arlington Report’s new column, Out and About in Arlington, where I detail what’s happening throughout the weekend in Arlington’s Entertainment District and more. You can find your weekend to-do list here every Friday.
Starting the weekend is Sports & Social Arlington, an event that will get us on our feet with live Salsa lessons. Even if your two left feet say otherwise, what’s a dance lesson without a little embarrassment here and there?
Arlington will definitely feel that “Uptown Funk” on Saturday when Bruno Mars stops at Globe Life Stadium as part of The Romantic Tour. Opening acts include MUTT singer Leon Thomas and Anderson .Paak’s alter ego DJ Pee .Wee.
On Sunday, end the weekend with songwriters who definitely outperform anything I wrote for my college creative writing class. Stop by Truth Vinyl in downtown Arlington to hear local songwriters and singers perform their originals as part of the record store’s Sunday Songwriter Series.
However you choose to spend your weekend, please feel free to let me know by responding to this email. I look forward to keeping you in the know every Friday!
