Bring out your colorful attire and medals. San Antonio’s annual, 11-day celebration is back.
One key event, Fiesta De Los Reyes, will kick off at noon on Friday, April 17, and run through Sunday, April 26. Known as “the epicenter of Fiesta,” it will be held in the Historic Market Square and feature entertainment, food booths, merchandise, and more.
According to a press release, admission will be completely free on Friday and Saturday, April 18.Â
It is a 10-day display of live performances, artisans, cuisine, and collectibles, per its Facebook. It is hosted by the membership-based nonprofit, the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation, which partners with the City of San Antonio for this event.
Entertainers include Jay Perez, the Jase Martin Band, and the Sandy G Los Gavilanhes group, all of whom take the stage this Friday.
Others include: the U.S. Army Jazz Ensemble, Ram Herrera, Destiny Navaira, The Spazmatics, Tropa Estrella, and Monica Saldivar. The full lineup is available on the event website.
Tickets cost $6.47 each, including processing and fees. Folks can buy up to 25 per order. An eight-day season pass costs $27.17, including processing and fees. Visit the event’s website to buy.
Tips to note are that children who are younger than age 12 can attend for free with an adult, guests can not re-enter after leaving, and a purchased ticket can be used for any day of the festival. Organizers charge during the following hours, per its website:
No bags that are larger than 13 x 6 x 12 inches will be allowed inside. Absolutely no backpacks or ice chests are permitted. Clear bags and diaper bags can be brought in, and all bags are subject to a search, per the event website. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
