Woman struck by train while walking along the tracks on West Side

SAN ANTONIO – A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a train on the West Side.

The deadly accident happened just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Lombrano Street and North Comal Street.

Police said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said a woman was walking along the train tracks. The conductor kept blowing the horn to get her attention, but to no avail.
