The arrival of BJ’s Wholesale Club in Texas is nearing, as the Massachusetts-based grocery store announced its Forney location will open April 24.
The Forney store is the chain’s 264th club but first in the Lone Star State. The big-box chain has plans to open three more locations in North Texas — in Waxahachie, southwest Fort Worth and Grand Prairie — in the coming weeks.
Bob Eddy, chairman and CEO of BJ’s Wholesale Club, called its Texas expansion a milestone for the company and that its leaders have been “energized by the enthusiasm we’ve seen in the community.”
BJ’s new gas location, at 11150 E. U.S. Highway 80, will offer members gas at $2 per gallon for one day only on April 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The promotional price applies to regular gas and has a 30-gallon limit.
