The Calallen and London boys golf teams captured regional championships in their respective classifications this past week with both programs advancing to the UIL state tournament.
For Calallen, the title marked the first regional championship in program history.
The Wildcats secured their historic Region IV-4A crown with a two-day score of 619 to finish ahead of La Vernia and Davenport in the team standings.

Calallen was led by Gage Hirschfield, who tied for sixth at 150. Ian Yzaguirre added a 153, Austin Haigood shot a 156 followed by Tyler O’Brien (160) and Hayden Aguilar (161).
London secured its first Class 3A Region IV title with a team score of 672. The Pirates, who qualified for state for the third consecutive season, were led by Ty Wiseman, Trace Renteria, Ty Trevino, Jacob Uballe and Layton Brewer.

The London boys golf team captured its third consecutive regional golf title.
London sat in second place after the opening round but surged on the second day, improving its score by 14 strokes to claim the regional title and secure its trip to Austin.
The Pirates were led by top-10 individual finishes from Wiseman and Renteria.
