HOUSTON — One woman is dead and another person is injured after a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Willowbend area of southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD received a call at 3:57 p.m. reporting the shooting along Fondren Road, near Braeswood Boulevard. Dispatch reports that the woman was shot by another, while a second person is reported to have shot themselves. HPD Homicide has confirmed one woman died at the scene.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene, which remained active as of the initial report. There is a shopping center at the address of the shooting scene.
No additional information on the victims, including ages or identities, has been released.
