Plano firefighters make swift water rescue after car crashes into creek bed

PLANO, Texas — Amid the rain Saturday morning, Plano firefighters were called to make a rescue after a driver crashed their car into a creek bed, officials say.

According to Plano Fire-Rescue, the victim accidentally hit the car’s accelerator instead of the brake, causing it to crash about 30 feet down into a creek bed.

Firefighter crews used a rope rescue system to pull the victim out from the creek bed, officials say.

Despite the crash, Plano Fire-Rescue says no one was injured from the incident.
