SAN ANTONIO – Filmmakers are being recognized Sunday as the Fiesta SATX Film & Music Festival wraps up its third year with an awards ceremony at Alamo Colleges District headquarters.
The third annual Fiesta SATX Film & Music Festival is set to award local filmmakers on April 19, 2026, with Board Chair Sylvia Rincon, local producer Rick Cuellar, film students, and others helping present the honors at the Alamo Colleges District, 2222 N. Alamo St. The award ceremony is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The festival’s lineup of award-winning independent films was shown Friday and Saturday and included films directed from across the country, Texas, and around the world.
Organizers said attendees also experienced live musical performances, panel discussions, art exhibits, and community networking opportunities throughout the weekend.
Alamo Colleges District hosted the free, three-day event as a platform aimed at supporting emerging filmmakers, musicians, and artists while helping build San Antonio’s creative economy.
The festival highlights student and independent films across multiple genres, along with performances from local and regional bands.
