LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Lions Club is gearing up for the 12th annual Kidsfish event Saturday, April 25th.
The event starts bright and early at 7 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m.
This week, the lake at Mackenzie Park will be stocked with approximately 800 pounds of channel catfish, giving kids plenty of opportunities to catch a fish or two.
Fishing license fees have been waived. Fishing poles and bait will be provided if needed. If you need a little practice, they will also have a casting Station for beginners.
This event is completely FREE to the public. There will also be opportunities to win fun prizes.
This is something any kid of any ability can enjoy. Organizers want to encourage parents and their kids to come out and spend some quality time outdoors.
Please Dress For the Weather and Bring Chairs, Blankets, & Sunscreen.
Kids will be served lunch at 11 a.m.
