How do restaurants earn Michelin stars?                    
According to the guide’s website, the stars are awarded to restaurants based on these five criteria, verbatim:
The quality of the ingredientsThe harmony of flavorsThe mastery of techniquesThe personality of the chef as expressed through their cuisineConsistency both across the menu and over time
Restaurants can also be awarded a Bib Gourmand honor, which is recognition for restaurants that offer high-quality food at a good value.
