The last time the Aggies (30-7, 11-5 SEC) took a three-game series against the Tigers (23-17, 6-11), the Maroon and White outscored them 15-9 in 1978.
A&M first played LSU the year before and took the inaugural series in Baton Rouge 2-1. The Aggies started the rivalry 7-3 in their first 10 meetings.
Who will be on the mound for both clubs Sunday is up in the air. In the initial pitching matchup report released Thursday, each team had “TBA” listed in the series finale slot.
The Aggies have dominated much of the weekend, outscoring their SEC rival 17-6.
