The Michelin Guide returns to Texas today, with a new round of stars, Bib Gourmands and other awards set to be revealed. The internationally renowned guide debuted its Lone Star edition last year, honoring 117 restaurants across Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Fort Worth. The awards ceremony will stream live from Houston on the guide’s YouTube channel beginning at 7 p.m.
The launch of last year’s inaugural Texas Guide marked a major moment for the state’s dining scene. Austin led the pack with seven of the 15 Michelin stars awarded, while Houston followed with six. The guide also highlighted restaurants with the Bib Gourmand distinction — recognizing great meals at good value — and Green Stars for leaders in sustainability. Below is a look back at the Texas restaurants that earned Michelin recognition in 2024.
