Dallas–Fort Worth will host nine matches, including five group-stage games and four knockout games, at AT&T Stadium, the most of any 2026 FIFA World Cup host. Located in Arlington between Dallas and Fort Worth, the stadium is known for its massive seating capacity and climate-controlled comfort—an important perk during North Texas summers.

Arrive Early: Security and entry lines can take time. Getting there early lets you explore the stadium, grab food, and settle in stress-free.
Pack Smart: AT&T has a strict bag policy. Clear bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” are permitted, as well as small bags and clutches no larger than 4.5” x 6.5.” Medical and diaper bags are also permitted after inspection. Bring essentials like sunscreen, portable chargers, and credit cards, as the stadium is cashless.
Have a Meeting Spot: Large crowds can be overwhelming. Pick a clear meeting point and make sure the kids know what to do if they get separated.
Take Advantage of Technology: If you have older kids, you can opt to track their location, either through Life360 or by having them carry an Apple AirTag during the match. And of course, make sure their phones are charged so you can stay in contact.
Transportation Tips
Driving is common in DFW, but there are some other options:
Parking: The stadium has a great parking system, but it’s not cheap. You can buy your pass in advance; prices for match days start at $67 per vehicle.
Rideshare: A convenient option, though expect surge pricing.

TRE (Trinity Railway Express): While the train doesn’t have a stop at the stadium, it connects Dallas to Fort Worth, so you can get off at the CentrePort/DFW station and catch a ride share to the stadium.

Fan Festivals & Watch Parties
Beyond the matches, Dallas–Fort Worth will host a variety of fan festivals and watch parties perfect for families.
Only got tickets for one game, or couldn’t snag a seat? You can head to Fair Park during the World Cup for daily, free fan events, including a pavilion with covered seating for up to 7,000 and a grassy hillside, all in view of giant screens broadcasting the matches. There will also be live entertainment, skills contests, pickup games, a dedicated playground area, interactive games, cultural showcases, and of course, food.
The #IfThenSheCan – The Exhibit: Game Changers will also be on display during the FIFA Fan Festival. It’s a first-of-its-kind installation featuring 26 life-size, 3D-printed statues of female innovators whose work sits at the intersection of sports and STEM.
The Fan Festival will follow the 2026 FIFA World Cup daily match schedule: open one hour before matches begin and one hour after they end.
Local Watch Parties

The Perot Museum of Science and Nature has a great exhibit that coincides with the World Cup. Soccer: More than a Game is running through September 7, 2026. Kids can experience the excitement of the world’s most beloved sport in a fast-paced, family-friendly exhibition that reveals how physics, biology, and technology shape every aspect of the game, on and off the field.
The Arlington Museum of Art will also have a soccer-themed exhibit: More Than a Match. Running from May 2 to August 2, 2026, it’s the ultimate fan experience comprising of four exhilarating exhibitions that spotlight the rich world of soccer and the vibrant culture of its passionate fans.
Kid-Friendly Things to Do Near AT&T Stadium
If you want to make a whole day or weekend out of your match day, there are lots of other family-friendly attractions near AT&T Stadium.
Six Flags Over Texas – Thrill rides and kid-friendly attractions that include everything from the Boomtown Depot train ride to Looney Tunes Adventure Camp and the New Texas Giant.
Hurricane Harbor – Since the matches are in June and July, you may want to head to the water park instead of Six Flags.
Texas Live! – This entertainment district is home to Globe Life Field and the Texas Rangers. It’s also a great place to hang out before and after games, so you know there will be plenty going on during the World Cup. The district is 21+ after 9pm, so plan accordingly.
River Legacy Nature Center – The Nature Center is located inside a 1,300-acre public park, and is worth a visit if you have time. They have rotating exhibits, creature features, and a discovery room with two large aquariums and a 30-foot interactive screen where kids can learn about habitats, wildlife, and play games.
Family-Friendly Restaurants
North Texans love to eat, and Arlington has tons of family-friendly options.
Any good North Texan knows about Babe’s, no explanation needed. If you haven’t had the chance to eat at one, well… just go. Decadent comfort food served up family style, a laid-back atmosphere, and proximity to the stadium; it’s a perfect combination. Just remember, Babe’s doesn’t take reservations. It’s a first-come, first-served situation, so be prepared to wait.
This popular chain is probably a 10-15 minute drive from the stadium, but it’s worth it. My kids love Lazy Dog because it’s a relaxed spot, usually with a fireplace and always with great service. They offer a great kids’ menu, family-style meals, awesome shareable plates, and yes, even meals for your family pup.
There is a ton of outdoor seating at this beloved local hangout. They offer everything from the cult-favorite poutine to burgers, salads, fish and chips, and brisket tacos. It’s on Division Street, so close to the stadium and Caravan Court Hotel. This is a walk-in, from-scratch kitchen, so they don’t take reservations, but it’ll be worth your wait.

Caravan Court – Arlington
This brand-new space in Arlington opens in June 2026, just in time for the World Cup. A reimaging of the classic motor hotels of the ’50s and ’60s, it’s conveniently located on Division St., a short distance from both AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. Midcentury-inspired interiors, a martini bar for the adults, a pool for the kids, and live music make this a luxury accommodation if you want to treat yourself and your crew to a staycation.
Live! by Loews – Arlington
If you want to be in the heart of the entertainment district, this is the spot. This family-friendly hotel has a Kids’ Club (open April – October) across the street at its sister hotel, Loews Arlington Hotel, with a giant Lite Brite, jungle gym, books, games, and movies. There are kid-friendly dining options in the hotel and in the entertainment district, and the pool has a great view of AT&T Stadium.
Drury Plaza Hotel – Arlington
I’ve stayed at a few Drury hotels for my daughter’s dance competitions, and it’s a fantastic option for budget-minded families. You get a daily complimentary breakfast and evening happy hours with bites. It’s close to the entertainment district, has an outdoor pool, and views of Six Flags over Texas!
