No other city in the United States does Día de los Muertos quite like San Antonio.
And even the threat of rain didn’t keep our city from celebrating one of its most important traditions as thousands gathered downtown over the weekend for Muertos Fest. The costumes were elaborate and ornate, showing the great respect San Antonio shows not only for those we’ve lost, but for death itself.
And if we end up having a great party in the process of honoring the dead, it’s probably just what they would want us to do.
