Dallas Trinity FC was shut out by Carolina Ascent FC on Sunday in a 1-0 loss at the Cotton Bowl.

Trinity falls to 3-5-3 in the spring portion of its schedule and currently hold the fourth and final spot in the Gainbridge Super League playoff picture.

In the third and final regular season meeting between the sides, the first half was a physical, scoreless affair. A back-and-forth match in the second half,  Carolina forward Rylee Baisden headed home the match winner in the 89th minute.

Trinity now sit 10 points behind back of the third-place Ascent and three points ahead of fifth-place DC Power FC.
