HOUSTON — A dangerous and chaotic scene led to a major crash in west Harris County Sunday, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

It happened near Greenhouse and Morton Road. Gonzalez posted preliminary information to social media at around 8:30 p.m., saying one of the vehicles involved in the wreck had bullet holes, though no one inside was struck.

Investigators believe a rolling disturbance between people in two separate vehicles escalated into an exchange of gunfire. Deputies also say another driver tied to the incident may have intentionally rammed a vehicle, causing it to overturn.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Detectives are still working to look into what led to the dangerous situation.
