Major crash on Loop 410 in San Antonio shuts down lanes

Make sure to leave extra early this Monday morning. A major crash has shut down three lanes on Loop 410 at Jackson Keller and Vance Jackson on Monday, April 20, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Loop 410, an already congested highway. Traffic is backed up to Callaghan Road, according to the traffic monitoring site SigAlert. TxDOT shows three lanes are closed, while four are open.

Traffic is stop-and-go as of 7:18 a.m. Drivers are traveling at about four miles per hour and can expect delays up to 1 hour, according to SigAlert.

Transguide cameras show a line of cars stacked behind the collision site. It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was hurt in the crash at this time.
