Police say victim died after a fight on Saturday night. Police have arrested the suspect and booked on murder and aggravated assault charges.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man was arrested on Sunday in connection with a deadly fight on Mimosa Drive that left one person dead, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

Police said the incident happened Saturday, April 18, 2026, around 8 p.m. in the 3600 block of Mimosa Drive, where officers responded to a report of a fight with injuries.

When officers arrived, medics were already performing CPR on a man who had been injured. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

Detectives identified a suspect during the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On April 19, 2026, police located and arrested Justice Martinez. He was interviewed and then taken to the City Detention Center.

Several people were detained at the scene and questioned as part of the investigation.
