LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – (News release from the Lubbock County Elections Office)
The Lubbock County Elections Administration Office and the Lubbock County Judge announce that because of issues with the ballot marking devices at some of the Early Voting sites, we are using emergency ballot procedures at the following voting locations:
United Supermarkets – 2630 Parkway DriveAmigos Supermarket – 112 N. University Ave.United Supermarket – 82nd and BostonMarket Street – 50th and IndianaUnited Supermarket – 130th and IndianaUnited Supermarket – 4th and MilwaukeeCitizens Tower – 1314 Ave. KIdalou Clubhouse – 202 W. 7th Street, IdalouNew Deal Clubhouse – 309 S. Monroe Ave., New DealRoosevelt High School Gymnasium – 1406 CR 3300Shallowater Clubhouse – 900 Ave. H, ShallowaterSlaton City Hall – 130 S. 9th Street, SlatonTexas Tech Recreation Center – 3219 Main St.
The following locations are currently open for voting, but expect a longer wait time for voting:
Market Street – 19th and QuakerUnited Supermarkets – 4th and Slide Rd.United Supermarkets – 82nd and FrankfordMarket Street – 98th and QuakerUnited Supermarkets – 114th and Slide Rd.Abernathy City Hall – 811 Ave, D., Abernathy
The Lubbock County Elections office is currently working with the vendor and with the Texas Secretary of State’s office to correct this issue.
As a reminder, all polling places will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday April 21st, for San Jacinto Day.
