EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man was arrested and charged with evading arrest after fleeing from officers at a traffic stop in West El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.
The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Miguel Angel Anchondo.

Officers reported that Anchondo refused to comply when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 700 block of Sunland Park Drive and fled to New Mexico.
Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in apprehending Anchondo, including the Anthony Police Department, Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, New Mexico State Police, and the Las Cruces Marshals Office, according to city officials.
Anchondo was caught and taken into custody in New Mexico.
He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond amount set at $30,000.
