Country music legend George Strait will perform two consecutive stadium concerts at Jones AT\&T Stadium in Lubbock on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, 2026. The events mark the first time the artist has held back-to-back shows at the venue as part of his final tour.
Texas Tech University Athletics announced an early access merchandise sale to accommodate the expected capacity crowds. The sale is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the green space west of the stadium and is open to the general public regardless of ticket status.
The concert series features a rotating lineup of opening acts. Zach Top and Dylan Gossett are scheduled to perform on Friday, while Miranda Lambert and Hudson Westbrook will take the stage on Saturday. Organizers confirmed that a limited number of tickets remain available through the official Texas Tech website.
Logistical preparations include specific parking and transportation arrangements. According to Texas Tech Athletics, campus parking lots will open at 2:30 p.m. each day, and all spaces must be pre-purchased online. Citibus will provide complimentary roundtrip shuttle services starting at 3 p.m. from designated locations, including the John Walker Soccer Complex.
The stadium is expected to open its gates at 4:15 p.m. daily, approximately 90 minutes before the performances begin. Security protocols require all attendees to adhere to a clear bag policy, which limits bag sizes to 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or gallon-size freezer bags. Strait addressed his fans during a previous performance to introduce his updated setlist.

The Lubbock shows are part of “The Cowboy Rides Away Tour,” which the artist has indicated will be his final extended run. The production will feature in-the-round staging to provide fans with a centralized viewing experience of the 28-song set performed during his recent 2026 tour debuts.
