SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service thinks scattered showers will continue throughout South Central Texas over the next couple of days, and that could mean light flooding in some areas.
In San Antonio, steady rainfall has caused some roads and highways to puddle up with water.
A Public Safety Alert has been issued on the North Side as water is closing eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 at Highway 281. You will have to use an alternate route for the time being.
Should you come up on a road covered in water, it is always advised that you turn around, don’t drown.
Only a few inches of moving water is needed to carry a vehicle away.
