Grammy winner Leon Bridges has become an ambassador for Fort Worth

Leon Bridges isn’t the official spokesperson for Fort Worth. But he’s emerged as its musical ambassador.

This month, the Grammy-winning soul singer appeared in a short promo video for Visit Fort Worth exploring “my Fort Worth vibe”: a visit to Trinity Park “to chill and enjoy nature,” a nosh at Kincaid’s Hamburgers (his fave: a bacon cheeseburger with extra pickles), a game of pool at The Down N’ Out bar, a drink at the Bowie House hotel lobby bar and a trip to Chieffalo Americana, a Western boutique with “great cowboy hats to get me red carpet-ready.”

For his last album, 2024’s Leon, he filmed part of one video downtown and another at Record Town. In 2021, the low-key singer told The Dallas Morning News his hometown was a salve for the stress of fame.

“I’m grateful to have the support of the community, which has really helped make my life a little easier in the midst of all of this,” he said. “I plan on staying put in Fort Worth for the long-term.”
