The party and festivities are going to start a little later today for Fiesta-goers. The relentless rain has forced a delayed opening for Fiesta De Los Reyes, one of the largest Fiesta events.Â
Fiesta De Los Reyes was slated to open at 10 a.m. at the historic Market Square on Tuesday, April 21. However, organizers pushed it back to noon, and it will run until 11 p.m. Fiesta De Los Reyes started on Friday, April 17, and will last through Sunday, April 26. It will begin at 10 a.m. for the remainder of the week. Tickets cost $6.47 each, including processing and fees. Children under age 12 can attend for free with an adult.
Another round of locally heavy rain is possible today in the San Antonio region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). It will be cloudy with a high near 72 degrees on Tuesday. The NWS forecast new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
For Tuesday night, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 p.m., according to the NWS. Storm chances will continue on Wednesday before a warming trend begins on Thursday.
