District says campuses are safe, post refers to a different Valley school.
RIVIERA, Texas — According to Riviera Independent School District, there is no lockdown and no active threat at its campuses.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, district officials say a social media post circulating on Facebook about a lockdown at “Rivera High School” is not related to Riviera ISD. The post refers to a different school in the Rio Grande Valley.
Riviera ISD reassured parents and the community that all campuses remain safe and operating on a normal schedule.
Officials are urging the public to share accurate information and avoid spreading misinformation. The district says it will communicate directly with families if any safety concerns arise.
