If you’re still trying to buy 2026 FIFA World Cup tickets, your next chance is just around the corner.
FIFA announced Tuesday there will be a new ticket drop tomorrow on Wednesday, April 22 starting at 10 a.m. The latest release is part of the ongoing “Last-Minute Sales Phase” which opened on April 1 and will continue until the end of the tournament in July.
Availability will include category 1 to 3 tickets and the recently-announced front-row categories. Tickets will become available for the general public on a first-come, first-served basis at FIFA.com/tickets. FIFA says fans can expect digital queues for tickets and some experienced lengthy waits of more than 90 minutes during the last major ticket drop. Others fell victim to technical difficulties that complicated chances to get tickets by sending them to the wrong queue.
Tickets have been an ongoing topic of conversation surrounding the World Cup with prices under the microscope for months and sales numbers under scrutiny. The North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee said last week that about 60-70% tickets have sold for Dallas’ group stage matches, 55% for the knock-out stage, and 31% for the semifinal. Those numbers indicate that more than 300,000 tickets remain unsold for AT&T Stadium’s tournament high-nine matches.
Tomorrow’s sale presents the next opportunity to buy some of that remaining inventory. Beyond that, tickets will continue to be released on an ongoing basis through FIFA’s website. Fans also have the option of buying high-end hospitality packages or tickets from FIFA’s in-house resale/exchange marketplace. There’s also the option to buy on external resale sites, though FIFA strongly warns against this path.
