Authorities in Wylie are searching for a missing 46-year-old woman, who was last seen on a neighbor’s camera walking into a wooded area around 1:43 a.m. Tuesday.
WYLIE, Texas — Wylie police are looking for a woman who was last seen on a home security camera around 1:43 a.m., walking into a wooded area.
Police said they were called around 7:21 a.m. to the 100 block of Parkwood Drive, where a man reported his wife, 46-year-old Melonie Ballenger, was missing.
Officers learned Ballenger was last seen at 1:43 a.m. on a neighbor’s camera walking into a wooded area close to her house. Wylie police are asking other neighbors to review camera footage from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. to see if Ballenger was seen in the area.

Ballenger was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans. She is described as 5’7, 135 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Lonestar Search and Rescue responded to search the wooded area where she was last seen, but the search has been suspended due to the weather.
The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
