The Minnesota Wild returned home from Dallas on Tuesday afternoon with a split in hand, regrouping after a loss to the Stars but confident heading into a pivotal Game 3 at Grand Casino Arena.
Minnesota stole one on the road earlier in the series, accomplishing its primary goal in the opening two games and reclaiming home ice for the first time in the matchup. Now the Wild look to feed off home ice advantage in St. Paul as the best of seven series shifts north.

“Some of the issues we had, to me, are all controllable,” Wild coach John Hynes told KSTP’s Chris Long. “Good information from it, looking forward to tomorrow.”
The Wild will aim to clean up execution after allowing Dallas to dictate long stretches in Game 2. Discipline, puck management, and faster starts have been emphasized as Minnesota works to reestablish its forecheck and sustain offensive-zone pressure.
The series is tied 1-1. Puck drop between the Wild and Stars is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night in St. Paul, where Minnesota has consistently drawn one of the NHL’s loudest playoff atmospheres.
