In November 2025, a Wendy’s earnings call suggested that anywhere between 200 to 350 stores would shutter from its fleet of 6,000 over the subsequent months. At the time, Wendy’s listed 25 San Antonio locations on its website, but as of April 21, that number has dwindled to 20.

Online chatter on the San Antonio Restaurants Facebook group pointed to several Wendy’s closures in the area, so MySA looked into it further and found at least five locations that have shuttered over the last few months.

Recently closed San Antonio Wendy’s locations include:

MySA made attempts to call each location at their phone numbers listed on Google, but all five lines appeared to be disconnected. Additionally, the Wendy’s off Loop 1604 and Blanco Road reportedly closed in April 2025. We sent a feeler out to media relations for Wendy’s to ask if these closures are connected to the ones hinted at in the November earnings call, and we will update this story with a comment if and when we receive one.

For now, San Antonio customers can visit the 20 locations that are still open across the city, which are listed on the Wendy’s website.
