Slick City launches its latest Texas location with adrenaline-packed attractions and kid-friendly play zones
Plano is about to get a new playground for thrill seekers of all ages. Slick City Action Park, billed as the world’s first indoor slide and air court park, opens Oct. 11, at 1901 Preston Park Blvd.
Forget waterparks — these slides don’t need a drop of water. The Plano location features massive dry slides, air-cushioned courts and play zones designed for everything from high-speed races to soft landings. Attractions range from the mega launch, Slick City’s signature heart-dropping ride, to the python, a twisting serpent of a slide. Kids five and under get their own junior jungle and web crawler climbing area.

More Ways To Play
If slides aren’t your speed, there’s still plenty to do. The sport air court puts a bouncy spin on basketball and dodgeball, while the swing & trapeze lets guests leap onto a giant airbag. Every corner of the park is designed to keep people moving, laughing and, yes, sliding.
The park will also roll out themed programs throughout the year. Families can expect Little Sliders Club for kids under seven, family fun days with package deals and even adults-only nights for grown-ups who want to take over the slides after hours. Other planned events include homeschool socials and sensory hours with a calmer, quieter setting.
Tickets, Socks And Snacks
Action tickets are available online or at the park’s kiosks, but advance booking is recommended to secure times and avoid lines. One detail to remember: every slider needs CitySocks, which cost $4.99 a pair and can be reused on future visits. Outside food and drink aren’t allowed, though the park sells hot food, snacks and beverages on site.
Spectators don’t need to buy a ticket but must sign a waiver like everyone else. Staff recommend weekday visits for lighter crowds, while Fridays through Sundays are typically the busiest.
