The Portland Trail Blazers evened their first-round series with a dramatic 106–103 win over the San Antonio Spurs, stealing Game 2 on the road and tying the matchup at 1–1.
Rookie guard Scoot Henderson delivered the best performance of his young career, pouring in 31 points and leading Portland with confidence and composure down the stretch.
After the game, Henderson reflected on his mindset following Game 1, saying, “I feel like I could be more aggressive. Defensively, I think there could be something more in the tank.”
That adjustment was evident as he attacked the defense relentlessly and made key plays on both ends of the floor.
The Spurs faced a major setback when Victor Wembanyama exited early after a hard fall, landing on his face. He did not return, leaving San Antonio without their centerpiece for much of the contest.
