Strong winds across Dallas and Tarrant counties Tuesday caused a string of power outages.

Outages affected about 4,400 customers as of 4:40 p.m., according to the Oncor outage map. By 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, that number was at about 3,000.

Dallas-Fort Worth is under a wind advisory, issued by the weather service, until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Winds ranging from 36 to 41 mph were expected until 9 p.m. Tuesday and are expected to pick up again tomorrow.
