LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – One person is hospitalized after a crash involving a golf cart in central Lubbock Tuesday night.
Around 9 p.m., Lubbock police officers initially responded to assist EMS at 2nd Street and Avenue K.
Upon arrival, officers found 18-year-old Jonathan Garcia with serious injuries. He was taken to UMC for treatment.
Crash investigators say it appears Garcia was a front passenger in a golf cart that was traveling north in the 200 block of Ave. K. As the golf cart turned west onto 2nd Street, Garcia fell out.
The driver and second passenger of the golf cart were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
