Another North Texas staple is gone. STIRR’s Addison location has closed, and with it, the last remaining outpost of the Dallas-based brand.
ADDISON, Texas — The final remaining STIRR restaurant has closed in North Texas, marking the end of the Dallas-born dining concept’s run.
The Addison location — the last operating STIRR — served its final customers on Sunday, April 19. The company announced the closure in an Instagram post the following day, saying it chose not to renew its lease.

“After an incredible run, we’ve made the decision not to renew our lease at STIRR Addison, and yesterday marked our final day of service,” the post read. “STIRR has been a special place for us from the very beginning.”
With the Addison closure, there are no remaining STIRR locations. The shutdown comes less than a year after the original Deep Ellum restaurant — which opened in 2015 — closed its doors.
In its message, the company reflected on the concept’s run and its connection to the community.
“What started as a concept turned into years of unforgettable moments, relationships, and memories that we’ll carry with us for a long time,” the post said. “We’re beyond grateful for the Addison community and every guest who walked through our doors and made STIRR what it became.”
The company said the closure is not a farewell to the brand’s legacy.
“This isn’t a goodbye to what STIRR stood for, but a moment to reflect on how impactful the brand has been for our team and our company,” the post said. “We’re proud of what was built here and are excited for what’s ahead.”
Many people who responded to the post expressed disappointment, writing “I loved that spot” and “I hope you guys reopen in the future.”
STIRR was created by Dallas-based hospitality group Milkshake Concepts as a restaurant and bar “suitable for all of life’s gatherings.” Milkshake Concepts’ portfolio includes Vidorra, The Finch, Saaya and Serious Pizza in North Texas as well as a couple of restaurants in Nashville.
