A unique concept blending bookstore and bar is headed to Leander, creating a new community gathering space for literary enthusiasts and casual readers alike.

A new chapter

A bookstore and beverage concept, Prose and Pints, is planning to open its first brick-and-mortar storefront in August or September, owner Leigh Ross said.

The business will expand from its current online and market presence into a physical space featuring books and novelty items at the front and a micro-cocktail bar at the back. (Courtesy Leigh Ross)The company paused its online shop Feb. 15 as it shifts into the build-out phase, focusing on redesigning its website, preparing inventory, confirming licensing and completing the storefront, Ross said. The online shop is expected to relaunch alongside the in-person grand opening.

Can’t wait?

In the meantime, Prose and Pints will continue vending at Georgetown Market Days, with an upcoming appearance scheduled for May 8.
