Investigators say three animals were found a day after another animal cruelty case in the southside area following a suspicious activity report.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police are investigating another animal cruelty case after three dead animals were found in the same general area where officers responded to a similar report a day earlier.,

On Wednesday, officers were called to the 4300 block of Schanen Boulevard after a concerned caller reported possible animal harm.

When officers arrived, the caller directed them to an area where they found three dead animals. 

Animal Care Services collected the animals for further investigation.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are assisting in the case and working alongside Animal Care Services.

Police say this incident comes one day after officers were called to another animal cruelty report involving a man accused of killing a cat near a school campus.

Investigators have not said whether the two cases are connected or if the suspect descriptions match.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
