At a Tuesday night ceremony at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center, the Michelin Guide unveiled its latest list of top Texas restaurants. This year, 140 establishments received honors, including 18 that earned a coveted Michelin star.

It’s only the second year Michelin has evaluated Texas dining, following the guide’s debut last fall. In its first year, Michelin highlighted 117 restaurants and awarded stars to 15, six of which were in the Houston area.

Michelin’s stars represent its highest distinction, with restaurants able to earn up to three. However, for both this year and last, no Texas establishment received more than one. The guide also highlights Bib Gourmand restaurants, which serve excellent meals at a reasonable price, and features “recommended” spots that deliver high-quality dining but fall just short of star status.

Here are the 18 restaurants in Texas that earned a Michelin one star.
