SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio woman who was caught on video beating her 3-month-old puppy has been sentenced to a long probation.
It was earlier this year when the video of 23-year-old Havanna Miller beating her dog on the balcony of her apartment made the rounds on social media.
She was arrested and indicted back in February and pleaded no contest to an animal cruelty charge last month.
KENS 5 reports Miller was sentenced Tuesday to 8 years of probation.
She has also been ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, attend anger management classes and serve 150 hours of community service. She is also banned from owning any pets during her probation.
The puppy, named Thanos, was transferred to a rescue group in another state and has since been adopted.
