Law enforcement responded to the homicide along the 1500 block of Royal Crest Drive.

AUSTIN, Texas — Police are investigating a homicide Thursday morning in southeast Austin. 

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), law enforcement responded just before 9:30 a.m. to the 1500 block of Royal Crest Drive, not far from the Element Austin apartments. 

It’s currently unclear what led up to this incident or how many people were involved. 

Police are expected to provide more details during a media briefing at around 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
