AUSTIN, Texas — A freight train derailed in downtown Austin, causing road closures early Thursday and resulting in no injuries.

Authorities said in a presser that a 911 call came in around 4:41 a.m. for the 230-car train derailment. They say no one was hurt or injured, and there is no danger to the public as the train wasn’t carrying passengers or hazardous materials.
